Tekashi 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez, has been taken into custody following allegations that he violated the terms of his supervised release. According to TMZ, the government accuses the rapper of three specific infractions: performing in Las Vegas without prior authorization from his probation officer, testing positive for methamphetamine in a recent drug screening, and failing to complete another required drug test.
“Daniel Hernandez was charged with three technical violations regarding his supervised release. We are confident that each specification will be dismissed.”
On Tuesday, October 29, 6ix9ine was arrested in New York based on a warrant issued by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is expected to appear for arraignment later that day.
In 2019, the rapper received a sentence of two years in prison and five years of supervised release after cooperating in a federal racketeering case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a gang he was previously associated with. This deal followed his November 2018 arrest.
